FastNinjaTrader setup
Connect FastDOM to NinjaTrader 8 for account access, order routing, and compatible market data.
1. Prepare the bridge
Install the supplied FastDomNinjaTraderBridge.cs AddOn in your NinjaTrader 8 custom AddOns folder. Open New → NinjaScript Editor and compile with F5, or restart NinjaTrader to load the AddOn.
2. Configure FastDOM
Open Configuration → Brokers, enable NinjaTrader, and set the bridge URL to match your local bridge configuration. Configure the allowed accounts and default account. Start with a simulation or demo account.
3. Select the instrument
Select NinjaTrader and your permitted account in FastDOM. Choose the symbol and verify its contract month. The futures contract mapping is explicit; update it when rolling to a new expiry.
4. Check data and controls
Confirm bid, ask, last trade, and quote freshness. With a compatible depth and trade feed, open More → BookMap or FootPrint. Test order entry, cancellation, and protection in a suitable practice environment.
NINJA MD selects the data feed without changing the selected trading account or order router. The local bridge should remain bound to loopback; match its address to your installation’s configuration.
